For the 2024-2025 school year, BCA provides 14 AP courses across disciplines, including mathematics, sciences, humanities, and the arts. These courses, taught by British Columbia-certified teachers, enable students to engage with college-level material, developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills. Among these offerings, the prestigious AP Capstone Diploma program—a hallmark of the BC+ curriculum—stands out. This program includes two key courses, AP Seminar and AP Research, which help students cultivate advanced skills in analysis, evidence-based argumentation, and independent study.
Students in AP courses earn dual recognition: credits for their BC Dogwood Diploma transcripts and AP exam results reflected in the College Board’s official score report, which is globally recognized by universities. By completing the BC+ program and achieving the AP Capstone Diploma, BCA students gain a distinct advantage in university admissions, showcasing their ability to excel in a challenging and globally oriented academic environment.
